SEF Urges Georgia Senate Education and Youth Committee to Oppose School Voucher Expansion Bill

On Wednesday, March 4, 2020, Sujith Cherukumilli, Legislative and Research Analyst for the Southern Education Foundation, testified in front of the Georgia Senate Education and Youth Committee regarding SEF’s opposition to Senate Bill 386, a proposed expansion of school vouchers in Georgia.

SEF also submitted a letter to the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the committee expressing our concerns with the voucher bill. 90.1 WABE, Atlanta’s National Public Radio (NPR) station, quoted a piece of the Southern Education Foundation’s testimony in their radio story covering the committee’s proceedings.
