SEF Hosts its Inaugural Volunteer Mixer

On Wednesday, July 24th, the Southern Education Foundation (SEF) held its inaugural Volunteer Mixer. SEF opened its doors to local members of the community, partner organizations, and longtime friends. The event was designed to highlight the many fun and fulfilling volunteer opportunities available at SEF, including:

  • Library and Research
  • Policy Development
  • Internships
  • Awards and Exhibits
  • HBCU Outreach
  • Special Projects and Events
  • Communications
  • Ambassadorship

Are you interested in volunteering with SEF? You can subscribe as a volunteer here to be contacted about future volunteering opportunities.

Also, be sure to sign up for our M.E.T. Ball of Education Volunteer Committee. Come create a party with a purpose! This October, SEF is hosting The M.E.T. Ball of Education at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, Georgia. This black-tie affair recognizing magnificent equity trailblazers of education within the corporate sector, community, sports and entertainment industries, will also focus heavily on honoring the history and legacy of our nations’ HBCUs.

We are inviting the public, friends and all HBCU alumni and members of the Divine Nine organizations to support the event by joining the Volunteer Committee.
