SEF's New Location

Please join us Wednesday, April 18th from 4pm-7pm for tours of our new space, an introduction of our President & CEO, Raymond Pierce, and a chance to discuss SEF's work with our staff. Light refreshments will be served.

Please RSVP by Monday, April 16th.

It has been an invaluable 33 years in the historic Auburn Avenue community. Residing only a stone’s throw from the MLK memorial and standing shoulder to shoulder with the Apex Museum and Georgia State University, SEF has been inspired by the rich legacy of the civil rights and education leaders who have paved the way for us.

While we will remain in the heart of downtown Atlanta, our new space offers us enhanced technological capacity, additional meeting space to accommodate partner and community meetings, and keeps us just down the street from the neighbors we cherish so much and in a position to connect with new ones as well. We’ll continue our work in a different venue but with the same vigor we always have.

Stay Tuned for Our Open House!

We are now located at:

101 MARIETTA ST. NW, STE. 1650 | ATLANTA, GA 30303

Our new space provides even more space for us to commemorate our journey over the last 150 years allowing us to put the young people and educators that we have supported in our work on full display.

This commemorative mural showcases the 150-year long education journey of African Americans illustrating their frustration, resilience, joy, and hope throughout the past, present, and future. This piece marks SEF’s milestone celebration for its 150th Anniversary. The artist, Louis Delsarte, who has called Atlanta home for 25 years, uses his talent to project his ideals of peace, love and community and continues his journey toward creative excellence for the benefit of others with this moving work of art.
