Lisa Chester

Director of Strategic Partnership & Corporate Development

 

Lisa Chester is an integrated media and business development strategist dedicated to social responsibility and promoting equitable opportunities. She champions public service, education initiatives and also programs that address wellness and the needs of women and girls. Lisa has expertise in strategic planning and marketing that she uses to develop key partnerships and lead fundraising efforts. Lisa was named by Atlanta Tribune as “The Ones to Watch” in 2014 and recognized as a 2016 Atlanta Business Chronicle 40 Under 40. 

Lisa Chester has joined the Southern Education Foundation (SEF) as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Development. Within her role, Lisa leads strategies that highlight SEF’s growth opportunities to increase the reach and impact of the organization’s ongoing research, advocacy and programming efforts within the South. In addition, Lisa supports the President/CEO to establish and execute revenue-generating partnership development activities and fundraising opportunities primarily through strategic alignment with Fortune 500 entities and other major corporations.

Her career has spanned the media industry for 15 years with Fortune 500 corporations, in addition to previous service to the community for nearly 5 years as executive leadership for Warrick Dunn Charities, Inc., a nonprofit founded by former National Football League All-Pro running back and Atlanta Falcons minority owner, Warrick Dunn. There, she accepted the 2016 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health on behalf of Warrick Dunn Charities. In addition, she accepted the Urban League of Greater Atlanta’s Young Professionals Dream Catchers Award on behalf of Warrick Dunn Charities in 2016.
