Get Involved with SEF

SEF encourages you to consider making a donation to support our work through our secure online site.  As a public charity, we depend on the support of individuals and institutions to advance our work addressing the critical issues of Southern education. SEF also provides opportunities to companies and partners to sponsor events, research and programming. Learn more about sponsorship opportunities by connecting with Vanessa E. Meyer.

Here are Four More Ways to Get Involved with SEF:

  1. Tell us what you think about challenging education equity issues in your city or state;
  2. Sign up to receive updates for reports, announcements on our various efforts;
  3. Connect with us through our social media on Twitter, Facebook, or Youtube; and
  4. Reach out to our program staff directly and learn more about our initiatives.

Support a SELI Fellow!

Each year, SEF turns away a high number of qualified applicants for the Southern Education Leadership Initiative due to a shortage of funding for this valuable program. Sponsor a SELI fellow for $10,000. Donations are critical to the program and will go directly towards:

  • supporting a student’s stipend;
  • a student's travel expenses for the summer;
  • placement at a regional nonprofit organization doing high-level research and advocacy to improve educational outcomes for all students; and
  • a student's training (pre-and post-internship) with leading experts in the field.

Help ensure an outstanding young person has this life changing experience and make a donation to SELI!  You can also learn more about this effort by contacting Vanessa E. Meyer today.
