Exploring Equity-Centered Solutions in Developmental Education Webinar
Low-income students and students of color are required to complete developmental education courses at disproportionate rates, thus Developmental Education effectiveness is critical to their degree attainment and college success. Seeking to improve Dev Ed outcomes for these groups of students, SEF engaged five Minority-Serving Institutions over a five-year period to test the efficacy of Dev Ed interventions at their campuses. They focused on exploring more effective methods of measuring impact, diminishing costs, and reducing barriers to college completion.
This webinar, recorded May 19, 2016, outlines the major findings of those interventions from both the institution and faculty perspective, introduces solutions to challenges faced, and explores future possibilities for scaling.
