Cameron McNeil

SELI 2018 Fellow

Cameron McNeill is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. He is currently a rising senior at UNC Chapel Hill, majoring in Physics and English, with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Cameron plans to teach high school Physics after graduation but has also been considering work in other areas of education. In his free time, Cameron likes to go on hikes with friends, watch sports, and read books.

Cameron is placed with the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at UNC Chapel Hill this summer studying early childhood education. He is working with the Collaboration to Eliminate Educational Disparities, a transdisciplinary team of community members and researchers engaged in addressing the persistent problem of educational inequity. He is also helping to coordinate the group's efforts via the creation of a collaborative Google Site, and generating graphics and materials to distribute to the group's members based upon discussions and research.
