Call for Papers

The Southern Education Foundation (SEF) is pleased to announce that we will host our 2018 Issues Forum, The Politics of Equity: Navigating a Path for Public Education on November 13th -15th, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. In collaboration with the Vanderbilt University Peabody College of Education and the University of Arkansas Department of Education Reform, SEF is issuing a call for high quality research papers to be considered for presentation at our November 2018 Issues Forum on or closely related to the following topics:

  • Education reform and issues of equity; 
  • Impacts of school choice (charter schools, voucher and tax credit programs) on public education systems and outcomes;
  • Governance issues within the context of state takeover of local school districts; and/or
  • School funding and teacher pay

Scholars are invited to initially submit abstracts (750 word limit) for the forum. Please include your full name and topic in the subject line.
