About the Speaker

LaToya Owens, PhD is the Senior Manager of Learning and Evaluation for the UNCF Career Pathways Initiative. In her role, LaToya is responsible for with developing and executing a broad range of program learning and development efforts, including advancing the program’s research and monitoring, evaluation and learning institutions’ work to inform strategy and practice. Prior to joining UNCF, LaToya was a Higher Education Fellow with the Southern Education Foundation. She also serves as an Instructor of research, measurement, and statistics in the College of Education at Georgia State University. LaToya earned her B.S. in Public Relations from Florida A&M University, an M.A. in Educational Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy from New York University, and Ph.D. in Educational Policy from Georgia State University.
