Mr. George has served in many capacities in his educational career including teacher, assistant principal, principal, supervisor and as an official with the State Department of Education. He brings nearly two decades of public school experience to his position as Superintendent of St. John the Baptist Public schools in Louisiana. By transforming Principal meetings into collaborative observation sessions, Kevin has given his school leaders the space and place to dive into the most important piece of education-teaching and learning. By pairing school leadership teams with others from across the district, St. John has established a common language around their teacher rubric allowing for inter-rater agreement. With a common language comes common strategies for improvement which St. John has done by achieving the 4th highest growth rate in the State on their ELA and Math assessments.

Mr. George is and has been involved with several civic, social and professional organizations. He is married to the former Schwanda Hill of Thibodaux and they have three beautiful children, Jalon, Taylor and Kassidy.  The couple has been married for 19 years.
